This is yet another Tank piece and yet another
work in progress. I think I feel better about this one and maybe
there's a better chance I'll finish it.

is that an M551? the chassis looks like it and the turret almost feels like the MBT70. remember that experimental tank in the late 70's? this is a really nice piece...nice and loose.

Thanks Donald,
I'm shooting for the M551. It was always a favorite of mine since I was a kid. I liked it's look and I remember thinking it was cool that the drivers hatch turned to open and close. I'll post it again when I finish it. Keep your fingers crossed.

hmmm...i don't know anything about the driver's hatch. i'll look it up. yeah i like the 152mm shilleilagh system, although it was unproven in battle. i liked the M551 look too. do you remember the m60A2? it had the same short barreled Shilleilagh weapon. that tank was my favorite back then. my current favorite would be the Merkava mark3....blah blah blah. i better let you go, can't wait to see it finished!

Hey buddy,
I'm finally joining the blog revolution! Great job on the images. This one and the top one are my favorite images on the page so far-- I really like these especially for the boldness they exibit in the strokes, and the confidence in the overall composition. Just some thoughts--- maybe the tank can bring you back in to the image rather than carry you out to the right? Maybe that's on purpose though? Anyhoo, love this painting--- let me know when you finish it!
